It's like a really sad day for the Civil Rights. Change will only happen in America when the heterosexual community stands up and fight for what they believe in. If I was them I would say, “Enough is enough".They should find a way to adjust this issue, just like in healthcare they found a way.
Personally i feel that if i was in the military i would not care if a gay man or woman was in my company, batallion, etc.. As long as he/she kept his/her feelings to themselves and were not making any moves on me then i would simply consider them a co-worker.
I think that brian is right. as long as the gay person isn't trying to be gay to other people then it shouldn't matter whether they are gay or not. the only reason it matters at all is because people might feel the need to protect someone else more than they should or piss someone off if they hit on them.
but i dont think a closet gay or even and open gay should be banned from the military, and they shouldnt have to hide their sexuality
I 100% dissagree with this law, that is like saying say a Jew can't openly serve in the military. If you are at war, unless you are an overkill homophobe, you ave much more to worry about than that "that queer" might be staring at your butt. I am all in for this law getting repealed
I think if your in the military it should not matter what your sexual orientation should be. As long as your not trying to hit on other guys or girls it shouldn't matter.
