Poor guy, these people need to realize that they may have gone a little over-kill on this. The fact that he felt that the only way out was that dramatic is very sad, the HOA needs to put themselves in his position for a day and see if they don't have a change of heart.
This is so sad. I feel so bad for the poor old man. It was so not necessary for the HOA to fine this guy so much. A white picket fence and a shed do not make the neighborhood look bad so they should have just left him alone.
I think that some Home Owners Associations are necessary and good for neighborhoods, but sometimes thaey certainly go overboard. I use to live in Northchase and our Home Owners Association was ridiculous. Getting progressive fines for parking a car on the street, not having a fence tall enough, or not having your grass a certain length is ridiculous. It is your home and you pay for her. I simply believe a Home Owner Association should strictly be for aesthetics of a neighborhood, security, and maintaining the community area. For this man to have to lose his life, because of the incompetance of a board of fastidious neighbors is sad.
Why would this guy set his house on fire and kill hiself?
ReplyDeletepoorrrr guyyy. and it was the only thing he really could do to get out of it all.
ReplyDeleteIt's sad that he felt that that was his only way out. Also, I can't believe that the HOA wasn't very understanding of his situation.
